AIx was created to help hospitality businesses answer their guests’ questions. Its starting point is practical: making the property’s information available even when the staff are busy with other tasks.
Launched in 2025, AIx brings artificial intelligence into the Oscar journey, which starts with the WiFi connection and supports the relationship with the guest throughout the stay.
Starting from real questions
What time is breakfast? Where can I park? How do I book the spa? These are simple requests, but repeated many times they can take up a significant part of the reception’s work.
A useful assistant has to know the correct answers for that particular property. AIx Smart Agent uses content such as FAQs, web pages and documents to provide support tied to the services you actually offer.
Content first, then automation
Setting it up is also a chance to put your information in order. If the restaurant’s opening hours change, if a service is seasonal or if a booking needs confirming, these details have to be clear.
- Collect the most frequent questions from reception and reservations.
- Prepare complete answers and keep your sources up to date.
- Decide which requests the assistant can handle and when the staff need to step in.
The aim is to keep the service running and leave people time for the situations that call for attention, judgement and a personal touch.
Informing guests and helping them discover your services
An answer can also help guests find a service they did not know about. If they ask about wellness, for example, the assistant can point them to the spa content and the way to request it.
The Digital Concierge brings services and requests together on the guest’s phone. Assistance and catalogue work along the same path: finding information, understanding an offer and choosing the next step.
One example is the AIx project for BTO, focused on assisting online visitors.
